Hobbes’ Half Birthday

Oh how time flies! Today my little puppy is 6 months old! It feels like yesterday we did our road trip to the central states, where we picked him up. He was just 10 weeks old and I honestly can’t believe how fast it went. Today, naturally, will be a blog post dedicated to Sir Hobbes. Here are four things I’ve learned as first time puppy owner. Enjoy!

“August Long” on the Sunshine Coast

It’s finally starting to feel like Summer here in Vancouver. The first three weeks were spent in long pants and sweaters. A very, very unusual occurrence for  the West Coast. As of right now the sun is shining down bright and 25°C downtown. Oh how I love (and missed) SUMMER!

This past weekend, us British Columbians enjoyed a stat holiday on Monday. It was BC Day – or better known as “August Long.” Since we both work every Saturday, we headed off to the Sunshine Coast Sunday morning and thoroughly relaxed and enjoyed a small getaway. I could say this about every vacation but, we really had the best weekend.

5 things I learned my first year of blogging

Happy Friday!

This past Tuesday – July 26 was my 26th birthday and the one year anniversary of All Things Beautiful! This year was unlike any year for me because well, I constantly was thinking and creating content for my blog. I must admit that I didn’t expect it to be what it actually was. I knew prior to starting that it would be work. A lot of work. I’ve learned a lot of things about this blogging world and I wanted to share the top 5 things that I learned in my first year of blogging.

Skincare: Favourite Cleansers

Welcome to my first beauty post! It’s only taken me, oh, a year to talk about one of my favourite topics. For some reason I’ve felt shy to talk beauty on ATB. I’m not an expert and I’ve always thought, why talk about beauty when there are professionals already doing this? Well, because it’s coming from me. They’re my recommendations, attached with my honest opinions, which might be valuable to someone out there! I’ve had a skin regime since about grade 6/7, which began from the influence of my mom who taught me to take very good care of my skin. Growing up I had troublesome skin that took a toll on my self confidence and self esteem. Over time I’ve incorporated higher quality products into my regime and, in turn, have fairly great skin today, with just a random breakout a few times a year (thank you Jesus). I’ve come a very long way from Oxy Pads *shudder* and today I’m sharing my favourite skincare cleansers and tools that I have used for years and which have helped my skin get to where it is today
