Well… hi there!

It’s been a while since my last blog post. I took quite the long break from ATB. Keyword: break. Sometimes it’s necessary to just rest. This season of life has been so wonderful. Here are my top seven from this month. Enjoy!

one | Hair. This month I had, oh, 7 inches cut off. It’s a pretty big deal as the last time it’s been this short was when I was in grade 6. And well, because it’s really short. It’s a big change but everyday I fall a little more in love with my hair. It’s easy, it’s fresh, it’s healthy (praise the Lord) and I think, but also have been told, that it’s super cute. I had my hair cut done by the wonderful and amazing Jes Corrinne at Brush Salon. (Check out their IG page, it’s amazing). If you’re looking for a fresh ‘do, check Jes out. I can’t wait to see her again.

two | Family Photos. This past Sunday we had Josh take family photos of the three of us. (The rain even held off! Just for us!) Josh sent us the gallery earlier this evening and we’re obsessed. Oh my word. We’ve worked with professional photographers many a time and Josh truly went above and beyond. My vision was fall, our beautiful neighbourhood, Hobbes and love. The pictures are all that and more. So looking forward to printing a bunch of these to scatter throughout our home. And YAY for having our Christmas card done!

three | Church. Our new church is home and we are just so crazy about it. We adore every aspect of it and are so proud to be a part of it. We launched just over a month ago and it’s only going to get better. The best is yet to come.

four | Fall Evenings. It’s getting darker earlier in the evening and it’s getting a little more crisp each day here in Vancouver. I’ve had a lot of nights this month curled on my couch with a blanket, a hot drink, husband and pup watching some pretty great TV. krissy fact #874: When I was a young girl (about 9) I was obsessed with Mandy Moore. She was my pop idol! I had posters of her on my bubble gum pink walls that I would tear out of J14 (flashback for any other 90’s babies?) or buy from HMV. Her albums were always on in my room (before/ after Nsync, BSB, Spice Girls, Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears) and when A Walk To Remember came out, you can imagine how stoked I was. (Also a Nicholas Sparks fan since I was super super young). All that to say, I’m obsessed with This is Us. Everything about it. Great story line, great characters and hits me right in the feels. I ugly cry in each episode. Ugly cry. It’s amazing.

five | My New Job. (See last 7 on 26) I’m blessed. I’m so ridiculously blessed to have been given a promotion back in September and the opportunity to do what I’m doing now. There is truly nothing like being excited to go to work and for work to not feel like work. I genuinely wish for everyone in the world to feel this way about their work. That’s how good it is.

six | Fall Bucket List. Slowly slowly I’m getting through this year’s list! #5 Explore a new neighbourhood was so, so much fun. We spent and afternoon hanging out in Southlands. We’d driven by in the past but took the time to really explore and walk around. Loved the little farm and the grand houses! #OneDay

seven | Family over everything. Though small and one third animal, my little family is everything. My family makes me feel so cherished, so prized, so loved, so cared for… my family makes me feel like I can do anything. I love spending time with them, love coming home to them, love doing life with them. I love my family of three.

Oh how I’ve missed blogging! Hope to see you back here on Friday with a new The Way I See It.

love always,

Whatever you want to do, do it. There’s only so many tomorrows.
